Are you ready for a change?

Not only a change in your own life, but in the lives of the aging kupuna that deserve the highest level of quality care, commitment, and personalized skills available.

The APC certification course is designed to fit all necessary requirements of the Modular Education Program for Activity Professionals (MEPAP), and follows the federal regulations and requirements of CMS F680.

All training modules within the course are regularly updated as patient care standards evolve, and are subject to review from an Advisory Board of long-term healthcare specialists.

NCCAP Certification is currently the only accepted curriculum that meets the highest Professional Standards of Practice of the Activity Profession.

The live Zoom format of the 16-week course allows for you to learn from the comfort and safety of home, while interacting with Connie as she covers course material in-depth, answers questions, and provides group learning activities to aid in memory retention of the topics covered.

You’ll learn essential skills that will allow you to provide specialized senior care that complements each patient’s individual strengths, weaknesses, and scope of care, all with a loving touch that is much needed as the kuhuna begin to age in place at senior care facilities.

Connie will teach you how to handle sensitive challenges with proven behavioral intervention, and will help you learn to assess the current situation or patient mood, and adjust your level of support accordingly.

As the kuhuna age, they have a variety of needs that can be met through the care of family members, but often they rely on the care of certified Activity Professionals to give them the dignified combination of physical, social, and cognitive care they need for optimal health and wellbeing.

The goal of certified Activity Professionals is to treat their patients as if they are family, providing trusted support, encouragement, and knowledge-based activities, while working proudly together to prove that there is "Strength in Family".
